I have 13 years of teaching experience in the subjects of math and science. My scores have been high, and I attributed this to the students retaining facts that are learned from the rap. Math fact do not change. By teaching this dynamic rap you don't have to worry about reteaching.
Teaching style
I approach teaching math standards or the TEKS in a fun and exciting way. This is a musical generation whether we like it or not. Therefore, I write songs and put them to music that cause my students to want to pay attention. Every line of this rap is instrutction. As a mature person you might not appreciate the beat but it is the beat that takes the sting out of learning.
Awards & shining teacher moments
The greatest honor I have received as a teacher is to see my past students go on in confidence that they ave a solid foundation in math. Many have sought me out at school or even in the community over the years to tell me how they have benefited from the Math USA Rap. They testify how having confidence in math opened other doors of success.
