Learning with Cuddy

For ten years I taught Algebra II (called Algebra 3-4 in my district), Honors Algebra II, Pre-Calculous, and Honors Pre-Calculous in addition to Math Analysis - our schools only computer science class which I developed in 2017. I also lead an ACT prep course. I mentor and tutor with AIM's Upward Bound program, which helps high risk students stay on track to graduate, and go to college. I worked in a Title 1 school and many of our students will be first generation high school and/or college graduate.

As a teacher, I tried to present mathematics in a new light using innovative techniques, applying the learning to the students interests and future goals, while making the environment a fun, trustworthy place to learn. By communicating and building relationships I'm able to meet students where they are at and help them reach both their academic and personal goals. The achievement gap in STEAM fields, and development can be narrowed through relationships, communication, trust and making learning fun! It is my goal that even one student can change their outlook on mathematics, and technology through the community that is my classroom.
