I have worked as a substitute teacher, and spent 3 years as a school librarian before focusing on literacy. I worked as a reading intervention teacher for students in K-3rd grade. I now work as a third grade teacher, and love teaching all of the subjects.

I have over 15 years teaching total. I began in early education in both traditional and Reggio Amelia preschool. Teaching style
I'm a very hands on experience based teacher. I like to help my students find personal connections and real world purpose to their learning. I work to create place-based, STEM, and purposeful learning with as much integration as possible. I also feel that developing the whole child is essential and have a focus on social emotional learning.
My own education history
I have a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Michigan University and I am Currently working on Masters of STEM Education.
I have completed the LETRS literacy training, NGSS training, and Social Justice Training.
