Experience

Hi there! 👋 I’m Madeline, a first grade teacher with five years of classroom experience. I spent my first three years teaching 3rd grade and now I’m loving my second year in 1st! Teaching has truly been the most rewarding adventure — from helping little learners master their sight words to watching those lightbulb moments click in math. My goal is to make learning fun, meaningful, and filled with creativity, and I love designing resources that bring a little joy and magic into the classroom. 💛

Teaching style

My teaching style is all about creating a classroom that feels like a second home — warm, welcoming, and full of curiosity. I believe kids learn best when they feel seen, supported, and celebrated, so I build lessons that spark creativity, encourage independence, and make learning fun. You’ll find lots of hands-on activities, colorful visuals, and opportunities for students to move, talk, and collaborate. I also weave in social-emotional learning throughout the day to help my students grow not just academically, but as kind, confident humans. 💕

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly Pomona (Go Broncos! 🐎) and went on to receive my Master’s degree in Teaching, Curriculum & Instruction from La Sierra University.
