Teaching style

I believe that all of my students can learn and be successful in life when I build positive, caring relationships with them, hold them accountable to high expectations, and by making learning fun and memorable. Student and teacher relationships are a crucial part to a student’s learning. A student who trusts and cares for their teacher will be more willing to learn. I have always held my students to high expectations both academically and behaviorally because that is what they deserve. Every student in my class deserves to accomplish their goals and dreams. I also believe that it is important to make learning fun and memorable. I want my students to leave my class and come back years later to tell me about their successes and reflect on the fun times they had in my classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Graceland University. I was nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2022.

My own education history

I received my Associates degree in Education from Metropolitan Community College in 2012. I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6th grade with an emphasis in reading from Graceland University in 2014.
