My 1st grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher. I began my teaching journey through cadet teaching in high school, working at a daycare, and substitute teaching in grades K-12. I completed my student teaching in 3rd grade at Hazel Grove Elementary. While attending Graceland University, I went on a mission’s trip to Jamaica for a week and taught 2nd grade skills to children in poverty. I was a long-term substitute in 1st grade at Hazel Grove Elementary and in 2nd grade a Richardson Elementary. I am currently teaching 1st grade a Pleasant Lea Elementary. I have taught 1st grade for 7 years.
