I have created a visual that works for kids who are having a hard time creating legible, properly formed letters. This visual of "grass" letter, "reachers", and "diggers" helps kids see where their letters should be on their interlined paper. Print, laminate, and attach to students' desks or have as a laminated card for students when they need it. Suggestion on a fantastic printing program is attached as well. * Updated with KG Fonts: Teacher Created Thin Lined and Lined
This is a framework to use for the new report card our district is using for BC's New Revised Curriculum. For our report card, we need to include a Student Perspective. You can use this framework to gather students' thoughts and ideas, or to attach to their report card and use as is. This is a simple self-assessment that is an important and integral part of a student's progress.
I've used this Personal Report Card for a number of years during Student-Led Conferences. They are always the highlight during a conference where a parent (& teacher) can learn a lot about what their child is thinking and how s/he is feeling about school.
With our district's new mandated report card, this self-assessment would align well with giving a "Student Perspective."
