I am traditionally certified teacher and have been inside of the classroom for the last 5 years. I also have the honor of working within my district as part of textbook adoption committees and the curriculum planning team for English Language Arts and Literacy (reading).

Teaching style

I have a very relaxed teaching style. I rely on redirection & positive reinforcement instead of punishing students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have been named a Geraldine Burns Award for Excellence in English Education winner. I have also been a district teacher of the year nominee for the last 3 years straight.

My own education history

I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Degree in English Education & a minor in Educational Psychology.
