This Google Document is intended to assign to students as a Google Assignment. The document walks students through the full process of writing research questions, organizing resources, and writing the essay itself.

These Slides cover Direct & Indirect Characterization. These notes follow a detailed description of how to find indirect characterization through identifying S.T.E.A.L. (Speech, Thoughts, Effect on others. Actions, & Looks). This will help students better understand the way an author creates round and in depth characters. As a bonus, the final slide includes a guided notes sheet that can help students organize their thoughts.
