This PDF includes 53 Accountable Talk/Talk Moves sentence starters. They're great for laminating and attaching to kids' desks (or sharing with them). I laminate them, attach them to desks for 1-2 weeks and then switch them. They're a wonderful way to enable students to speak academically about their learning and the work they do. They also help support peer relations and a collegial environment with your students.

These are suitable for World History and/or Geography. It includes three exposures of the words (including the definitions) and two versions of a matching quiz). I have found that doing vocabulary utilizing this method works well and the students actually learn the words, which ultimately leads them to learn the material for this unit.

Get some inexpensive Mardi-Gras beads, punch two holes in this card and feed them through.
