About the store
I started teaching in 2014 and have a Master's degree in Mathematics and a second Master's degree in Educational Leadership. While the majority of my teaching experience comes at the middle school level, I also have experience at the elementary and high school levels. Over the years I have taught Math, Science and Engineering & Technology.
My passion has always been deep understand of the content and creating resources for the classroom. My goal is to balance high expectations with engaging materials. I hope to be able to share my resources to help other teachers improve the content they provide within the classroom.
I am currently a middle school Engineering & Technology teacher to grades 6-8 in Massachusetts.

Experience

Teaching style
I believe teachers need to constantly adapt their styles depending on the content and classroom environment. Some lessons or activities call for lecture, while others might delegation or facilitation.
I prefer to have more of a hybrid style that incorporates my personality and preferences in to teaching. I try to get my students to problem solve and be hands on as much as possible. I encourage my students to make mistakes and learn though trial and error as I guide them along the way. Students will gain a deeper understanding of concepts when they are given opportunities to apply their knowledge in challenging activities. These activities should mimic real world situations and incorporate critical thinking and writing.
