About the store

Experience

This is my first year assisting in a kindergarten. I have a lot of experience with children from babysitting at a young age to inventing process based activities for children in college. This is the first time I've been apart of teaching children on the spectrum, and I love it.

Teaching style

I believe children learn hands-on rather than worksheet/assessment based. In my opinion, assessments should be given intended to see how we can teach a child more so at their skill level. I don't think assessments are necessarily a bad or morbid thing, but I do think we need to educate ourselves on how to given them as a form of bettering the child. I believe these children work better when they can see/feel the subject.

My own education history

I've received my high school diploma as partook in multiple early childhood development classes. Immediately out of high school, I began courses at a community college. Here I earned a certificate in Early Childhood Education. Currently, I'm working on receiving my DCF certification. I do plan on returning back to school to earn my Associates in General Education, as well as going for my teaching degree.
