You Got Melted!!! Here is a fun and engaging winter center game that includes: -letters -CVC words -CVCC/CCVC words -phrases/sentences -recording sheet Here is how you play: You make one pile of cards in the middle face down, and take turns flipping over a card. If you sound out, or read the card correctly, you can keep it. But watch out, if you flip over a "you got melted" card, you have to put all of your cards back into the bottom of the pile.

Snowball fight with blends and CVC! To prep, cut out each snowball. Then pass out one to each student. Have them crumble it up, throw on the carpet, have the kids pick one up and write it on their own recording sheet. Repeat as many times as you would like. If you want to differentiate, there are blank snowballs available to print for students to write their own words, tricky words, letters or phrases on! Be creative with it!
