This is a visual I used in my Pre-K and 1st-grade classroom for carpet expectations.

Each morning in the class, students write a sentence to let us know how they are feeling. This tool may be used at home or school. It includes a visual for students to have a choice of feelings and words to use.

In my classroom, I used a "feelings check" during morning meetings. It was a way for students to share how they are feeling before starting the day. Students that wanted to share would leave them on my desk. It can be used in calm down corners or any way that works for your class. It is great for students that have trouble verbalizing their thoughts and feelings.
