A true Shining Teacher Moment was when I worked on a creative project with a group of students, focusing on their interests and strengths. One student, who had always been quite shy and reserved, had the chance to present her ideas for the project. I could see how much effort she had put into it and how proud she was of her work, so I made sure to give her the spotlight and encouraged her to share with the group.
The moment she presented her ideas, with a big smile and newfound confidence, and the class responded enthusiastically, was simply magical. It reminded me of how important it is to give students space to express themselves and discover their own strengths. In moments like these, Iβm reminded of why I became a teacherβto support them in their growth and witness them exceed their own expectations.
