Questions for each chapter of Behind Rebel Lines by Seymour Reit. Questions are written with the idea that students will need to use higher order thinking to respond and evidence from the text to support their thinking.

Questions or prompts to guide thinking in each band- K/L/M, N/O/P/Q, R/S/T, U/V/W, and X/Y/Z. Questions cover predicting, structure, character development and language for each band. Use as a conferring tool, assessment, homework response, etc.

Use this question bank in a homework notebook as a nightly assignment or as a quick assessment. Teachers may choose specific questions for students to answer or allow the students to choose. Directions and questions ask students to provide evidence based thinking in their answers. Rubric included for student self assessment and teacher evaluation.

Use this text dependent rubric as self assessment, reference, and/ or assessment. Students can receive a 1-4. You can use this as a handout for students to reference and check for self assessment or print as a poster for reference in the class throughout the year. Color Coded to show the different parts of the text dependent answer: Answer, Evidence, thinking.
