Teaching style
Creativity and hands-on learning abounds in my classroom. I want students to enjoy learning. I also, however, run a very structured classroom to ensure learning occurs. I love using interactive tools, technology, songs, games, etc, to engage students. Last, but not least, I appreciate a beautifully organized classroom where everything has a place and there is a place (and a label) for everything. ;)

I have taught 20 years in South Carolina in the traditional classroom and as a virtual teacher. I have been an educational technology coach for an elementary school for grades K-5. and an online ESL teacher. I have taught or coached grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. I have a Master of Elementary Education degree with undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, with a minor in Psychology.
I also earned National Board certification.
Additional biographical information
Born and raised in South Carolina. I love to read, kayak, crochet and create. I love art, a great cup of coffee and reading a good book while drinking a great cup of coffee in a quaint coffee shop. Beach or mountains? Both. ;)
