My own education history

I attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Child Psychology. Upon completion in 2002, I moved to Texas to begin my career of educating children and empowering families.

Additional biographical information

I have presented at many national conferences on the subject of Academic and Opportunity Gaps, with an emphasis on bringing awareness to and eliminating the Achievement Gap. I have also been a vocal advocate for the importance of establishing authentic relationships with students and empowering teachers to “think outside the box.” Most recently, I spoke at the National Alliance of Black School Educators on the importance of student equity and fidelity to the learning trajectory. I am also a distinguished member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., by way of Fall 1999. I have held numerous positions and roles within the sorority and my career and have had vast experience with curriculum and instruction, intervention planning, and assessment writing.
