Suffixes ed, ing, ly, y
An activity designed to help expose students to suffixes. Words can be sorted into four suffix categories. Some words fit into two or more categories.

Visual Inferencing
A pack of ten different images with two separate activities per image. In the first activity students are encouraged to identify what they see in the image and then what do they think is happening. In the second they are encouraged to write a story about the image.
These activities are designed to help the students develop the comprehension skill of inference, focussing upon images instead of text. They are designed to integrate the teaching of viewing with comprehension.
