Lessons from the North

Welcome! I am an Ontario teacher and Doctor of Education (EdD) candidate with many years of experience across primary grades and French Immersion. In recent years, my work has increasingly focused on curriculum implementation, equity, and inclusive, play-based learning, and is now shifting to have a particular emphasis on supporting educators as they navigate the updated Ontario Kindergarten Curriculum (2026). I have a strong working knowledge of the 2016 Kindergarten Program and the significant shifts introduced in the renewed curriculum, including explicit language and mathematics foundations, coding, scientific inquiry, and updated expectations for assessment and documentation. My focus is all in on creating: Ontario Kindergarten resources aligned to the 2026 curriculum Play-based literacy and mathematics supports Planning tools, long-range plans, and curriculum overviews Assessment and documentation templates designed for real classrooms Select resources that support French Immersion and cross-grade learning All resources are created with teacher clarity, curriculum alignment, and student voice in mind.
