About the store
I taught elementary school and also have a child (at home) with dyslexia. I've seen so many children stuggle with reading and phonetics. I've created several basic reading worksheets to help students uderstand common spelling sounds and patterns. These are easy worksheets that students can complete in class or at home (for extra practice). They are also great for summer enrichment or tutoring. Later in my career, I switched to teaching gifted education classes where I taught 6, 7, and 8th grade. I've created a few units, that I used in my classes. These units are created to help student build their creative and critical thinking skills. These units were created for middle school but could easily be modified for upper elementary. I've recently added some extension activities for elementary gifted students. I've found that many students are bored in the regular class setting so I've created some extension activities that piggyback off of common elementary units of study.

The Theory of Multiple Intelligences- PowerPoint

The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. This PowerPoint is a nice visual for my other product, The Theory of Multiple Intelligences- Activity.
