About the store
I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades for the past 21 years. I have a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, as well as my supervisory and CE principal certificates. My internship in administration helped me understand the evaluation process and the high demands the CCSS has on the students, as well as the teachers.

Virtual Writing Lesson for Text Dependent Responses

Teach your students how to organize a text dependent written response by using a visual with puzzle pieces. I have successfully taught my students how to construct a well organized essay using this lesson. The R.A.C.E.R. format is used to teach students how each section of an essay connects. Using color coded sections, the students are able to clearly see the different parts. This lesson can easily be converted to Google slides and uploaded to Google Classroom for virtual learning.

Additional biographical information

I spent most of my teaching career in an urban district. I now teach in a suburban area in northern New Jersey. I am a mom to two beautiful children, ages 8 and 10. Even though I currently teach Middle School, I am constantly looking for new ways to help my own children understand the skills they learn in the elementary grades.
