I use this for my middle school students as we are required to work on I-Ready once a week, and it has been very helpful! How do you incorporate more writing into your Math Classroom? It's easier than you think! Assign a problem for students to solve, or have them select from a recent unit. On the left side of the handout, students will solve the problem mathematically showing all their steps. On the right hand side, students will explain what they did listing out every step.
