Use this resource to encourage students to create a visual image of what a monster might look like. Students circle the features they'd like to use and add numbers to how many eyes, legs, arms their monster will have. They then draw their monsterwrite 2 sentences describing their monster - using the words they circled as support.
These are designed to be copied, cut up, laminated and placed in pouches for students to practise with during mental maths time. They relate to square numbers, doubled numbers, halved numbers and basic fractions and decimals.
They could also be pre-cut ready for students to match up and glue into their books.
It is a word document so they could be edited so that they are actually mixed up already so that students can do the cutting part themselves too.
A colourful interactive presentation using a gradual release method. Slides could be printed and laminated for classroom displays and for group rotations - using a whiteboard marker.
This is a Technology and Enterprise unit that involves the planning and constructing of a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed board game.
The package includes an introductory activity that allows the students to explore board games that have already been made.
Students then use the planning sheets to create the various parts of their game.
A rubric is also included for the teacher to use after the planning and construction has been completed.
