Let's Go Math

This project is great to test your students knowledge on geometric area and probability. This allows students to be creative and demonstrate their math skills. Having a day to play the students games also gets students to understand theoretical versus experimental probability.

This is a pretest based on the 8th grade skills a student should know that would impact their ability to perform well in Algebra 1. This can also be used as an end of year review or test for 8th grade.

This is the video I give to students who are absent or struggling with how to solve a system of equations while using desmos online calculator. This video is also great to just use for those students who are truly struggling with other ways to solve.

This form allows students to go around their school, town, or home to find geometric shapes. Then once they have found the shapes students will need to measure, list dimensions, solve for perimeter, and solve for area.

This is a great activity to introduce exponential decay to your students. This activity takes about 1 day and gets your students involved in the patterns of exponential decay relationships as well as introducing them to their graph and potential bonus of exponential decay functions as well.

This is a great practice assignment for students to work on applications of scale factor. This allows students to do an enlargement and reduction of themselves and their classmates. Once students complete their calculations they are going to put it to the test by making their very own action figure!

This booklet is a great tool to use during your units and identifying important vocabulary throughout the year! This can also be used as a review at the end of the year before testing or to sum up everything learned throughout the year!

Here is a simple dilations project. This is great for analyzing your students knowledge of graphing and dilations. If you provide graphs and an example this can take 1-2 days for your students to complete.

This is a great quiz where students can develop their own quiz for other students to take. This gives students the opportunities to complete two quizzes and help each other to understand the concepts of solving exponential growth and decay.

This is a great short quiz for students to demonstrate their skills on solving equations and inequalities by hand or using their calculator. This is a great way to quickly assess if your students are grasping solving while also seeing them apply multiple skills in the process.

This is great practice for students for both solving equations and inequalities. These can be used as exit tickets or general practice. I love to use these as extra practice for students who need a little extra help.

This is a great guide for students and teachers to be able to use the Ti-Nspire scatterplot tools to find the equation and graph when given a table. I love using this as a reference guide in their notebooks to always keep their steps on track.

Solving equations practice. This worksheet can be used to help students work on solving equations. This is also helpful to help introduce geometric proofs so that students can make connections between the steps of solving and proofs.

Print on card stalk. Have students write advice for future students in your class and how to be successful. Students can decorate and design them and you can hang them in your room to start the next school year.

I love using the short practices as a teir system to get them ready for their quiz. They must complete both the solving equations and inequalities practice with an 80% or higher to attempt their quiz. This quiz can be used as bonus porints towards their next test. I have also used the short practices as an exit ticket on days that I teach the material and end the unit with an open note quiz to allow them practice for their unit test.

This is a great resource to help students keep their mental math practices sharp. I use these as a great extra credit opportunity for my students. If a students wants extra credit I give them the 4 practice sheets for them to refresh their skills. Then when they come back with the 4 sheets completed I allow them to complete a mental math quiz. I give them 5 minutes for the quiz timed and in front of me anytime they have finished their work early in class. If the student passes the quiz with an 8
