I love using the short practices as a teir system to get them ready for their quiz. They must complete both the solving equations and inequalities practice with an 80% or higher to attempt their quiz. This quiz can be used as bonus porints towards their next test. I have also used the short practices as an exit ticket on days that I teach the material and end the unit with an open note quiz to allow them practice for their unit test.

This is a great resource to help students keep their mental math practices sharp. I use these as a great extra credit opportunity for my students. Awards & shining teacher moments

Teaching a state tested math subject. My classes had an 85% pass rate on the state test in 2025. 83% in 2024. 82% in 2023.

My own education history

I graduated from Black Hills State University with honors and a bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
