I am a speech language pathologist in my clinical fellowship year. I work in the public school setting supporting children of all ages, disabilities, and skill levels. Experience

My strength in language acquisition and sentence generation provides me with insights others may not see. Teaching style

As a speech pathologist, I incorporate my experiences as a teacher to create worthwhile extensions to narratives. I use evidence based practices in my speech therapy sessions and specifically employ narrative intervention methods to target academic and social language needs. Narrative unit extensions also allow for natural lessons and practice opportunities specific to different contexts. As a teacher, I stood by the idea that project based learning is the best method. We incorporate all of the different content areas in each unit and make connections. I like a classroom with lots of little routines. Tongue Twister Tuesday, Math Facts Monday, weekly book talks, Fluency practice on Fridays, and even Reading for Fun every Wednesday.
