About the store
With degrees is Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, I have studied a lot of math. Having homeschooled for the last 18 years, I have taught a lot of math. I have also tutored math and taught in co-ops. All of this experience with math has shown me that kids who like math are good at it and kids who are good at math like it. It's a great cycle of learning and growth for kids who are in it. But what about the kids who aren't? My mission as an educator is to instill a love of math in every child, so all children can be a part of that wonderful cycle. That's where math games come in!

Math games are the best way to get kids voluntarily practicing difficult concepts -- just like a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. This game adds an element of competition, some silly scenarios to get you all roaring with laughter, and a couple of sneaky maneuvers to keep everyone guessing. Your children will barely realize they're adding and subtracting decimals! Decimal multiplication is optional in this game. You may choose to have your kids add tax (thus a little decimal multipli

My all-time favorite subject to teach is math. But long division gives me nightmares! With all the steps, there is so much that can go wrong. And even if things go right, do your students really understand the why behind each step of the algorithm? Do they understand the concept, or are they just going through the procedure? The right tools, though, make all the difference! This 40-page file includes: Colorful long division templates for various configurations of problems, from 3-digit dividends

Clip & Flip cards make drilling math facts fun and easy. Kids like that it's quick and interactive, and parents LOVE that kids can practice independently. Honestly, though, the best part is that kids don't whine about having to practice. You'll receive cards for the numbers one through ten, each with a whole bunch of multiplication and division facts. All your child has to do is clip the facts that total the number on the card, then flip the card over to check his answers. All of the answers

Long division is a crazy long and difficult algorithm. It just plain takes a lot of practice to memorize and understand thoroughly. Wouldn't YOU rather play a game than complete worksheet after worksheet? This game is comprised of 3-digit dividends and 1-digit divisors (unless you use a 10-sided die). But it's competitive and fun so your students will happily and voluntarily practice! This 2-player game works perfectly in math centers.

My kids use the times tables bookmark in their math textbooks.
