Let's progress our teaching

currently teaching in 2nd class for the second year following two years working as a substitute and one year in a mixed grade of 1st and 2nd.

Scattered at times but I try to make my lessons as relative and interesting as possible with lots of independent research and group work. I love to bring in focus objects to create interest in a topic and also like to incorporate lots of art and music in my lessons. i love having some structured routines in place to allow my day to run smoothly ( well as much as is possible) and give the children a sense of structure that they can rely on.

3 year Bachelor of Education in St. Patricks teaching college Drumcondra and many professional development courses since gradation in a variety of areas.

Dance, Art and Music are my inspiration and I like the way these subjects can be taught despite any language barriers. I also like the idea that art and music are a passport to the wider world as they are a common language to all. I also enjoy gardening and farming and these often become lessons and units taught in my classroom.
