Try One Breath Ladders: What Makes.. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. This activity develops basic math fact fluency while challenging students at their own level. The students take one large breath and try to answer all of the math questions in a ladder, in one breath. Once a student masters a set, they move on to the next ladder. Students progress at their own rate and have fun practicing their math facts!

This is a great activity in a math center, literacy center or for the whole class to work in pairs or groups of 3.
The students roll a 10-sided dice, double the number, write the associated math sentence and answer in the box. Students try to race to the top of the column. Play continues to see who completes two columns, three columns, etc.
