About the store
I have taught for over thirty years and still enjoy my profession enormously. I began working in the middle grades of Primary School, then I taught in lower school and upper. Currently, I am working as a learning support teacher three days per week in a school, additionally, I tutor students in my private business the remainder of the week.
In my private business I work with children who display varying abilities and problems. All students succeed with differentiated programming and learning styles. I teach face to face and online in a virtual classroom.

This product is a multi-faceted chart. It helps children learn the alphabet with the support of fun-loving characters; learn the letters and the sounds as well as increasing vocabulary.

This product is a pack of 120 high frequency word cards. The first set of word cards has a picture included on each card. The picture and word association enhances memory.
The second deck of cards has the first letter of each word coloured to give a minimal clue to help children remember.

Teaching style
I teach according to the needs and learning styles of my students.
Particularly, I love to teach through the children's interests if at all possible.
In my practice I use a multi-sensory approach, lots of rehearsal and fun. Using the research from Vygotsky, I begin teaching from where the student is "stuck". Then I go to the zone of proximal development. This means that I am an observer and a guide on the side.

My passion is teaching young children to read, write and spell. Children are like sponges and learn easily.
When teaching year ones and twos it is possible to teach them as a whole class and gain high scores.
