My teaching style is hands-on, student-centered, and rooted in real-world agriculture. I believe students learn best when they are actively engaged, so my instruction emphasizes experiential learning, critical thinking, and practical application rather than memorization alone.
Because I teach quarter-long exploratory courses, my lessons are designed to be efficient, flexible, and highly engaging, with clear objectives and minimal prep for teachers. I intentionally build activities that work well as choice boards, labs, stations, bell ringers, and sub plans, allowing teachers to easily adapt them to different schedules and class sizes.
I place a strong emphasis on:
Career readiness and employability skills
Clear expectations and student accountability
Age-appropriate rigor for middle and early high school learners
Connection between classroom instruction, FFA, and SAE concepts
All resources are classroom-tested, aligned to Georgia Agriculture standards, and designed to support both new and experienced agriculture teachers.
