About the store
Welcome to Level Up Interventions! I'm Bobby, a K–12 Intervention Specialist. Before becoming an educator, I spent 11 years as a stay-at-home dad and dedicated volunteer in my local schools, serving in roles ranging from PTA President to community leadership positions. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from WGU and now work with students who need additional academic and behavioral support. My experience includes reading intervention, special education services, IEP writing and implementation, progress monitoring, and intensive Tier 3 support. The resources in this store are designed by a practicing intervention specialist and tested in real classrooms. My goal is to provide practical, effective tools that save teachers time and help students make meaningful progress. Welcome to the adventure....let's help students level up together!

Teaching style

I believe effective teaching begins with meeting students where they are. Every learner comes to the classroom with different strengths, challenges, experiences, and learning styles, and it is our responsibility as educators to recognize and respond to those differences. While I firmly believe in maintaining high expectations and meeting educational standards, I also understand that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Not every student will fit neatly into a predetermined mold, and meaningful growth often requires flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to adjust instruction based on student needs. My teaching philosophy centers on building relationships, using data to guide decisions, and providing the support students need to be successful. I strive to create learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and focused on progress rather than perfection. Every student can grow. Sometimes they just need a different path to get there.

Additional biographical information

One thing I'll always believe is that kids don't hate reading, they just haven't found the right thing to read yet. I know that because I was that kid. When I was in fourth grade, I became completely obsessed with cryptozoology. Give me a book about Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, UFOs, or any other unexplained mystery, and I couldn't put it down. Once I found something that genuinely interested me, reading stopped feeling like schoolwork and became something I wanted to do. That's why I never accept "I don't like reading" as a final answer. Somewhere out there is a topic, story, or subject that will grab that student's attention. It might be sports, animals, history, video games, cars, space, or something none of us would ever expect. As educators, I think part of our job is helping students find that spark. When kids are interested, they're curious. When they're curious, they're willing to read. And when they're willing to read, growth follows. Sometimes the key isn't teaching a student how to read better, it's helping them find something worth reading.
