Teaching style

My teaching blends structure, creativity, and compassion. I believe students learn best when content is clear, visually organized, and connected to their lives. My materials are designed to be both student-friendly and teacher-ready, so anyone can pick them up and use them confidently. I focus on making learning feel manageable, interactive, and rewarding for all learners.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My proudest moments come from watching students who once struggled begin to light up with understanding during labs, group work, or independent study. I have been recognized for innovative lesson design, creative use of visuals, and inclusive classroom practices. The best recognition, though, comes from students who tell me, “Science actually makes sense now.”

My own education history

I hold master's degrees in the sciences, education, and educational leadership, with advanced training in special education, inclusive instruction, and curriculum design. My academic background helps me bridge the gap between rigorous science and accessible learning for all students.

Additional biographical information

Outside the classroom, I am a lifelong learner and creative builder. I run the Millennium High School Video Game Club, where students connect through teamwork and healthy competition. I love combining art, science, and storytelling to create lessons that are engaging, purposeful, and human. Every resource in Level Up with Leslie reflects my belief that learning should be clear, fun, and achievable for everyone.
