My students LOVE this activity. They get to select items to purchase for a picnic. They cut out and glue the items, write how many of each item they are buying, and do the multiplication to calculate their total cost! I remind my students that they have to feed 20 friends so they must buy enough food for everyone. Great practical activity for multiplying decimals and whole numbers. Please leave feedback! This 2 page resource includes a journal sized printable that provides definitions and examples of polygons, as well as non polygons. It also includes a polygon worksheet that requires students to classify polygons and tell if they are regular or irregular.

This product explains how to find the surface area of a rectangular prism. It connects this challenging concept to a real world task, such as wrapping a present, explains that you must find the area of all of the faces and then add them together, and provides an acronym for students to remember ALL six faces when they are working.
