I currently teach maths in a very large school in South Yorkshire, England and have done for the past 8 years. My classes range from Year 7 (age 12) all the way up to Year 13 (age 18) and I teach all areas of the subject.
This is a game I have played with my own classes for the past 6 years - it's highly competitive, quick to play, easy to understand and appropriate for all abilities!
It works particularly well as a 'beat the teacher' activity and can be used as a settler task when pupils enter the classroom for the first 5 minutes. This game will develop problem solving skills and the speed pupils can add, subtract, multiply and divide mentally.

Experience
I currently teach maths in a very large school in South Yorkshire, England and have done for the past 8 years. My classes range from Year 7 (age 12) all the way up to Year 13 (age 18) and I teach all areas of the subject.
Teaching style
From the moment I started teaching I quickly discovered that my choice of resources strongly affected pupil engagement and how much progress they made that lesson. I try and use a variety resources each lesson to keep my pupils engaged and interested in the maths they are learning about.
My own education history
I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012 with First Class Honours in Mathematics. I then trained to be a teacher and graduated with this in 2013.
