Have students write a base word and suffix to see the drop the e rule in place. This goes with second grade OG concept 67.

Poster to hang in your room as you are teaching about consonant le. Count back three with me.

Print on card stock (two per page). Punch holes below the 0 and 9. Add a pipe cleaner and bead. Tape down pipe cleaner on back. Use as a hands on manipulative for rounding.

Have students drop the y on these words and add the correct ending. Goes with the OG 2nd grade skill.

Print off for each child as you are starting analog clocks. Helps them remember, and have a visual.

Have students look through magazines and then cut out solids, liquids, and gases. This is a fun scavenger hunt for them to complete.
