About the store

I'm a certified school library media specialist working for the NYC DOE. I am using tech to teach research skills and help my Pk-5 students connect ideas from various subjects through library literacy. (3 years as an English Language teacher in South Korea. 1 year as a Teacher's Assistant (paraprofessional) in 12:1-1 contained class for grades 3, 4, 5, bridge. )

Editable PowerPoint checklists for student use. Print in color and laminate. I put them on the desks and it helps students to check their progress while using laptops. We use Scratch for CS4all products, so the "Submit work to studio" box is for student projects. *Borders are color-coded for tables *30 laptops are Lenovo thinkpad NYCDOE issued. *2 of the checklists are for MacBook desktops.

Teaching style

High tech. If there is a Smartboard in the room, I'm using it. If the class has a set of laptops or tablets, the students are using tech with me! Students today have access to potentially limitless information through modern tech tools. Students learn how to appropriately use these tools. Currently integrating CSed concepts with the CS4all initiative.
