Denielle Wells holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Western Ontario, completed in 2008. During her graduate studies, she focused on information literacy, cataloging, digital services, and educational technology—laying the foundation for a career that bridges traditional librarianship with modern, digital learning environments.
She also earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English from McMaster University in 2007, where she developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, research methods, and communication—skills that continue to inform her teaching, writing, and curriculum design today.
Before her university degrees, Denielle completed the Art Fundamentals program at Sheridan College in 2002. This early creative training in illustration, design, and visual storytelling continues to influence her work in media production, digital content, and creative education projects.
Denielle is currently continuing her professional development through Library Juice Academy, where she is pursuing a Digital Curation and Preservation pathway. Recent certifications include coursework in:
Digital Repositories
Metadata for Special Collections
Digital Archives and Museums
Digital Preservation
These ongoing studies reflect her commitment to supporting the evolving needs of learners and libraries in the digital age.
