I've taught almost all ages from 4 to 64. I am the author of 17 books for children (science, math, and picture books) and seven books of poetry for adults. I am currently a grade 4/5 school librarian.
This writing tool gives students of all ages the confidence to create smooth transitions from one sentence, paragraph, or concept to another. Words and phrases are grouped into ten categories: put in ORDER, ADD something, COMPARE or explain, CONTRAST, give an EXAMPLE, PERSUADE or emphasize, AGREE, offer an OPINION, and SUMMARIZE. It includes a brightly colored PDF to post in your Google Classroom and a black and white version for clear copies to hand out.
Copyright in the digital age is confusing. This simple breakdown guides your students in what they can and cannot freely use. Grades: late elementary, middle school, high school, and college.
This traditional rhyme helps students remember (and this teacher!) the number of days in each month.
