Experience

I’m a former math teacher turned career development specialist — and I’ve seen firsthand how students need more than just academic content to thrive. That’s why I created Life Prep Curriculum: to help students build the real-world skills no one teaches — like time management, communication, and self-advocacy. My lessons are structured, student-ready, and rooted in years of experience supporting learners as they move from the classroom to the workplace and beyond. Visit LifePrepCurriculum.com for more tools that connect academics to life.

Teaching style

My style blends structure with purpose — I’m all about giving students clear expectations and real-life context. Every lesson I create includes student-facing tools, guided reflection, and a life skill you can point to and say, “Yes, this matters.”

Awards & shining teacher moments

I didn’t win teaching awards. I didn’t teach writing or run SEL programs. But I did spend years figuring out how to speak up, stay organized, and navigate real life — the kind of stuff I wish someone had taught me in school. The truth? Most of the skills I now teach didn’t come from a classroom — they came from lived experience, trial and error, and a deep belief that students deserve better than “just pass the test.” My proudest moments are when someone uses an LPC tool and says: “This should’ve been in school.”

My own education history

I hold a B.S. in Education and I’m a Certified Learning Strategist — but most of what I teach didn’t come from textbooks. I’m a neurodivergent mom raising a neurodivergent child, and every day I see how much more support learners need to navigate real life — not just the classroom. I created Life Prep Curriculum to fill the gaps schools leave behind. My resources combine structure with empathy, academics with life skills, and always center the learner first. Whether you’re teaching executive function, self-advocacy, or time management — you’ll find tools here that are inclusive, actionable, and designed to meet students where they are.

Additional biographical information

I created Life Prep Curriculum because I saw the gap firsthand — as an educator, a Certified Learning Strategist, and a neurodivergent parent helping my child navigate a system that often misses the mark. School teaches a lot of content, but it rarely teaches life. Things like speaking up for yourself, managing your time, asking for help, or figuring out what comes next — those are the skills students actually need. I believe real learning isn’t about tests — it’s about preparing students to navigate life with confidence, clarity, and skills they’ll actually use. My work is rooted in flexibility, clarity, and real-world support for students who don’t always fit the mold — which is exactly why it's made to be practical, adaptable, and teacher-ready.
