Student Shoutout Slips!

A great way to create a classroom community and recognize students! Students can grab a slip of paper throughout the week if they’d like to send a positive shoutout to a classmate. After filling one out, I have them fold it and place it in our student shout out jar. On Fridays, I read them aloud during morning meeting and hang them in our classroom. The following week, they are given back to students and taken home as new ones are posted!

Teaching style

I would describe my teaching style as visual and student-centered. I enjoy bringing learning to life by connecting standards and lessons to the real world. I strive to find what exactly excites my students and use this to create materials to support it! I also love using visuals in my activities to make tricky concepts more accessible for struggling learners.
