AP Literature and Composition: Fiction Flashbacks
To help students prepare for the Open-ended essay on the AP English Literature and Composition exam I have them either re-visit or read a classic from first American literature, then British literature. The purpose of these two assignments is to a)refresh their memories of books they read in 10th/11th grade, or b)provide them with an opportunity to read a classic they did not get to read in school, and then, c) to share that refresher with their classmates in a "speed dating" format.
