Teaching style

As an educator, I am deeply committed to fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment where students are encouraged to take an active role in their education. I utilize the constructivist theory of learning, which emphasizes the importance of building knowledge through experience and interaction. Central to my teaching approach is the 5E Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate), which allows students to actively construct meaning, deepen understanding, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. I engage students at the outset by sparking curiosity and stimulating their interest, leading them to explore concepts and ideas through hands-on activities. As they explore, I guide them in making connections between prior knowledge and new information. In the Explain phase, I help them articulate their understanding and clarify misconceptions, before encouraging them to Elaborate—expanding their knowledge and applying it to real-world situations. Finally, through the Evaluate phase, I provide opportunities for self-assessment and reflection, reinforcing critical thinking and reinforcing learning. Incorporating project-based learning further enriches this approach, as students work collaboratively on complex, real-world problems, applying their knowledge and skills in a context that is both meaningful and practical. The iterative testing process allows students to test hypotheses, refine ideas, and continuously improve their solutions. This combination of inquiry-based learning, hands-on projects, and ongoing reflection ensures that students are not only engaged but also prepared to thrive as independent, lifelong learners.
