I am always looking for ways to hold students accountable during Read to Self or Independent Reading Time. I also wanted to find a way to tie their responses to the skill/standard that we are working on, which is why I created these Common Core aligned reading response prompts! In this pack you will receive three prompts for each of the first grade Reading Literature and Informational Standards. That makes a total of 51 prompts!

This is a fun and engaging activity to help students be able to identify regular and irregular verbs. Students will cut out the ornaments and hang them (glue them) on the regular or irregular portion of the Christmas tree!
