Teaching style

My Teaching Style: Creative, Interactive, and Student-Centered I believe learning a language should feel like an adventure! My teaching style is all about creating an immersive, engaging environment where students are active participants. I use a blend of interactive activities, real-world examples, and games to make language learning fun and meaningful. I tailor my lessons to fit my students’ needs, ensuring every learner feels confident and supported. Whether it's through group work, hands-on practice, or lively discussions, my goal is to inspire curiosity and make language learning a joyful experience!

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I’ve yet to be recognized with formal awards, my most rewarding moments come directly from my students! Here are a few highlights that make me proud: Seeing students who once struggled with language flourish in their confidence and abilities. Watching former students pursue further education or careers involving Spanish or Italian, inspired by our classes. Being invited to graduation ceremonies by students who felt my class was a turning point in their academic journey. The joy of hearing from parents and colleagues that my interactive approach sparked a love for languages in students who were initially hesitant.

My own education history

I hold a B.S. in Spanish and Italian Studies, which provided a solid foundation in both languages and their cultures. To deepen my expertise, I pursued and completed an M.A. in Spanish Literature and Linguistics, where I explored the intricate connections between language structure and cultural expression. My academic background not only equips me with a deep understanding of language but also fuels my passion for sharing that knowledge with students of all levels.

Additional biographical information

I’ve spent nearly a decade teaching Spanish and Italian across all grade levels, from 5th to 12th grade, and it’s been an incredible journey! I hold a B.S. in Spanish and Italian Studies and an M.A. in Spanish Literature and Linguistics, which have provided me with a deep understanding of language, culture, and how to make learning engaging for all students. My teaching style is creative, interactive, and always student-centered. I believe in making language learning an adventure through hands-on activities, games, and real-world applications. While formal awards aren’t part of my journey yet, the shining moments have been plentiful—whether it's seeing a student grow confident in their language skills, watching them pursue further language studies, or simply being a small part of their academic successes. My mission is to inspire a lifelong love of language in every student, and I can’t wait to share my resources with fellow educators!
