This log allows students to analyze all aspects of a word. Word analysis includes identifying blends, digraphs, vowel patterns, syllables, prefixes/suffixes/roots for the chosen word. Students choose a word from their reading that they need to clarify. They write the context that the word was found in and identify synonyms and antonyms for the word. Great for practicing dictionary and thesaurus skills.
This is a behavior management tool to help students that are struggling with behavior issues both in and out of the classroom. It focuses on behavior goals, not punishment. The student earns points for achieving goals during specific time periods throughout the day. It is a positive reward system as well.
