I created a short landform assessment. This assessment features a matching section where students match 7 different landforms with their definition. Then, the next section asks students how lakes and oceans are different. Finally, the last section has a large drawing area where students must draw a landscape that has at least 4 landforms and one body of water. At the bottom of the page are boxes for students to cut apart and glue on the picture to label their landforms and body of water.

I created this riddle worksheet so my students could practice the sound in a fun way! Each riddle hints to a word that is spelled with the ew, ui, ue sound. Great practice for students to learn which spelling pattern goes with each word.

I created this sheet as a preassessment to see if my students knew if 4 main parts of a book cover: author, illustrator, illustration, and title. Students cut the boxes off the bottom of the sheet and glue them on the correct box. I also have this pre-assessment, activities, and a summary sheet for the SMARTboard for purchase as well.

I created a sheet for review of the ai, ay sound. Students have riddle sentences that they read and the answer is spelled with ai or ay. Perfect way to practice the sound and reinforce the proper placement of ai or ay.

I created this anticipation guide for students to challenge what they know about frogs. Before reading, students mark true or false for the statement. After reading, they go back and reread the statement using knowledge from the text to correctly answer the statement.

I created pages that include larger illustration areas, word banks for students to use key vocabulary, and numerous opportunities to compare different types of organisms. I created this context clues worksheet to align to the 2nd grade Common Core standards. On the first page, students will find the meaning of the bolded non-sense words based on the clues in the sentences. On the second page, students will use the clues to figure out the meaning of the bolded real word.

This worksheet is a great review for words with the OY and OI pattern. There are 13 words that are scrambled with clues to help the students figure out the unknown word. At the bottom, are two words that students must use context clues to find the meaning of the unknown OY OI word.

This sheet was created to help students with the retelling skill. Ruby In Her Own Time is a story found in the 1st grade Scott Foresman reading series. The sheet is broken up into page numbers for the students. Using the page numbers from the story, students summarize the information found on those pages and draw a quick sketch. At the end, student use the information gathered to retell the story.

This worksheet was created to be used with the Social Studies concept of opportunity cost and benefits. On the worksheet, students will look at several choices and decide on 2 activities to spend their money. Then, they will analyze the costs and benefits each of each choice. They must then choose which activity they want and why.

This sheet can be used as a quiz on producers/consumers or scarcity wrap up. Students read the story and use the paragraph to answer questions such as who is the producer, what is scarce, who is the consumer, and an extension of name 2 other producers and what they make.
