Students average the distance of 3 test flights after measuring the distance of each. They then compare actual average with predicted distance.

Students read each sentence and look up provided words in a dictionary. They then choose the best definition of how the word is used in the sentence and write the definition in the space provided add an illustration.

Students look up basic words in a thesaurus and find replacements making sentences more specific and detailed. Students then draw a representation of the new word meaning.

The teacher keeps one of these for every student. Each time a strategy is implemented, the date is recorded. This is very handy when talking with parents or easy to staple to other documentation going to administrators. Can also be copied and given to parents periodically as a behavior progress report.
