These templates are made so that you can communicate with the families of your students in a quick and efficient way. There is a one page newsletter template available for each month of the school year, August-May. Each page has similar, fillable sections: birthdays, a monthly focus, what we're learning in the classroom, important dates, and something important for that month such as a teacher intro, details for Open House, etc.

This is a perfect get-to-know-you, beginning of the year, ice breaker activity that can be played by readers or nonreaders. I have also used this activity to find what some of us have in common, to practice graphing, and as a conversation starter. There are many ways to use this activity but I like to use it with pocket dice Oriental Trading ($7.) I insert the pictures and allow students to roll the cube and answer the prompt of the picture that landed face up. Topics include: My favorite... (bo

This works especially well for our friends who are not reading yet. Below is a list of symbols included. Please comment and let me know if you would like me to change the language to be

In my classroom, I use these two week behavior charts in English and Spanish because I got tired of forgetting to print off new behavior charts for each month. I also used to use weekly charts but hated how much paper I was using! These two week charts are perfect because you can use the same template all year and never have to worry about editing the file to include breaks like Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break. Just simply write the next weeks date when you come back to school. This
I created this worksheet for The Little Red Hen. While reading this book, we discuss what a moral is and what the moral of this story is. After having this discussion throughout the week, I ask my students to make a personal connection to the moral and draw a picture of that connection! It can be a difficult thing for some kinders but most do a great job of illustrating a time they were hardworking just like the Little Red Hen.
This sheet shows some of the symbols we use in our classroom dur
This basic reward chart has helped several of my kinder students manage behaviors in the classroom. It is a tangible way for students to track their behavior and acts as a visual reminder for what they are working for.
This basic reward chart is exactly that- basic. Feel free to add other rewards that fit the needs of your student(s) and change the pennies to movie characters, shapes, or any other image that will motivate your little one.
