This PowerPoint provides chapter questions, character traits chart,application activities as well as pictures and maps that track the story line of the novel.
In this final project, students create an ode to an object, character, or setting in Schooled. They also create a Facebook page for a chosen character and create a plot sketch for four of their favorite scenes from the novel.
Students investigate the personality of a character using the indirect characterization traits of thought and feelings, actions, speech, appearance, and others' reactions to the character. There is also a place provided for the student to provide an analysis of the trait and textual evidence.

This bookmark is a handy guide to help students incorporate reading strategies into their daily reading. This bookmark asks the student to answer six reading related questions such as summarizing, visualizing, and inferring while reading.

Over 30 activities! Students are given informational text prompts to answer either as a whole class or while pair-sharing. Categories include chronological, spatial, descriptive, problem and solution, cause and effect, and main idea with supporting details.

Students complete this plot diagram while reading a short story or novel. There is also a place to discuss foreshadowing, flashback, character traits, setting, mood, and theme.

Use these codes to make essay grading easier and quicker. There are ten codes for very common essay errors. Teachers can simply write the code beside the student's error, and the student can refer to the code guide to see what error needs to be corrected.
This final test challenges students to analyze theme, conflict, plot, figurative language and vocabulary.
