This is the story of Saint John the Baptist with pictures in place of key words so little children can read along. It tells about his being a cousin of Jesus, a prophet, and a baptizer. It is perfect for Children's Liturgy or Religious Education classes.
There is a printable page listing the Precepts of the Catholic Church with pictures and a worksheet with answer key. The worksheet lists eight examples and the students write which number from the Precepts goes with each scenario. I plan on having students work in groups of three to complete this assignment.
I made this for our 3rd grade Catholic Religious Education class as a fun way to involve them in church stewardship. I bought 5x7 brad envelopes, "top secret" self-inking stamp, pencils, and mini magnifying glasses from Oriental Trading Co. There are 5 separate cards with coded messages about ways the children can help at Mass. You may want to print them on card stock. There are also (2) 5.5" x 8.5" coloring/activity sheets, one about BEING the church, the other about Jesus washing the feet of h
Go back to the days after the Ascension to witness what happened at Pentecost with this short, but vividly descriptive guided meditation. There are a few discussion questions and (Catholic) sources listed. Best suited for grades 2, 3, 4, 5. It would probably take 15 minutes in total.
This is a short play about the lives of Saints Benedict and Scholastica. It includes quotes from The Life of Saint Benedict by Pope Saint Gregory the Great. There are five speaking parts.
This printable is great for older elementary and middle school, when the children's bulletin becomes too, well, childish. It reinforces using the missalette/missal during Catholic Mass, and can be used to journal important points and prayer intentions. It also reinforces Catholic traditions such as the seasons of the liturgical calendar and the use of song during the celebration.
These activity sheets are not a unified curriculum. They are just a group of very basic beginning French activities that I made to use (along with videos and other things I found online) to teach my kids some basics of the French language. All worksheets have answer keys included. Included in the packet are: 20 Vocabulary listsFrench Greetings WorksheetBasic French Phrases Jigsaw PuzzleFrench Family Vocabulary Crossword PuzzleFruit Salad Recipe with French fruit namesFrench Foods Word SearchFre
This is a 4.25" x 5.5", 4-page (6 printed sides and 2 blank) booklet best for Kindergarten. There is a page of clipart to color, cut out, and glue into the book. Each page can be colored and has a missing picture shown by an outlined shape. Great for a Thanksgiving lesson.
Coloring sheet with question about the Bible account of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the angel Gabriel in Luke 1:38. I used this while teaching the rosary - the first Joyful Mystery.

Teaching style
I try to vary instruction as much as possible to reach different types of learners and keep things interesting for the kids. I also don't shy away from teaching or explaining complex concepts to little ones. I think they are able to understand much more than we give them credit for.

Additional biographical information
I love teaching. The children are such a delight to me. They have very curious minds and absorb information like sponges. I am training to be the Religious Education Director at our parish next year.
