Little Learner Bees

This graphic organizer is a companion to the book, The Adventures of Beekle The Unimaginary Friend by Dan Santat. The students practice using descriptive words, or adjectives to describe Beekle, drawing his gold crown. Next, they will be challenged to create their own Unimaginary Friend, drawing inspiration from the story, and then using four adjectives to describe their friend. Though I created this worksheet, it is not an original idea, and I do not claim the graphics or content as my own. F

The "My Champion" graphic organizer focuses on skills in writing by having students use adjectives to describe a champion in their lives. Students can use adjectives to inspire their work in a creative writing project. -------------- I read the book, It Takes a Village by Hillary Clinton to a small group, and used this activity to accompany our writing project. The cross-curricular element of social studies/writing was a bonus. This is a free resource for private use only.
